Vincent Lucian Viola, affectionately known as Vinny, was born on December 13, 1945, in Boston, Massachusetts, and passed away on February 1, 2026. Known as Vinny to those who loved him, his life was a true testament to his funny, supportive, and loving nature. Vincent had a captivating charm that brightened the room, a hearty laugh that echoed through the hearts of those who knew him, and a compassionate spirit that eternally warmed their souls.
Vincent's love for life was mirrored in his diverse interests. He was a skilled painter who owned a remodeling company before his retirement. A lifelong member of the church, Vincent's faith was steadfast and his involvement in church and activities was reflective of his supportive nature. Actively involved with East Boston Camps, he was a camper, worked as a kitchen aide and later worked on much of the renovations at the camps. He was a dedicated softball player and basketball player and coach, a kung fu martial artist, loved to dance and was a lifelong Disney enthusiast. As an avid bird watcher and camper, he found solace in nature's serene beauty. However, his favorite pastime was simply enjoying a meal and spending time with his family. His love for his family was boundless, and he cherished every moment he spent with them.
Vincent is survived by his life partner, Barbara Bogeajis, daughters Rhonda Viola, Brenda, and Robyn, 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. He leaves behind his sister Janet, brother Anthony, and niece Renee, who will hold dear the fond memories of his loving spirit. He joins his late sister Judi and late niece Michele who preceded him in passing. Vincent's memory will also be cherished by his many cousins and friends who had the privilege of knowing this exceptional man.
