Richard Filosa

Filosa, Richard A. of Salem, formerly of East Boston , Revere, and Marblehead on January 11, 2017 at the age of 76 in Pompano Beach FL. Beloved husband of Carol Ann (Nordstrom). Devoted father of Richard Filosa and wife Jane of Marblehead, Linda Piquette and husband Benoit of Montreal, and Christine Archilla and husband Cesar of Swampscott. Dear brother of Ronald Filosa of Melrose, and the late Albert, and James Filosa, son of the late Elsie and Albert Filosa. Also survived by 9 loving grandchildren whom he cherished and who adored their grandfather and many loving nieces and nephews. Richard was very proud of being born and raised in East Boston. He was a graduate of the Boston Technical High School before getting his degree in engineering from Northeastern University. He was an avid fan of thoroughbred horse racing and playing squash at the Marblehead YMCA. He was an athlete and long-time Boston sports fan. What Richie enjoyed most was spending time with his family and friends, sharing great food and conversation, especially while he was in his second home in Florida. He was also former Vice President of Stone & Webster Engineering. Funeral service in the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Saturday January 21st at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited at 10:30am. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lynch-Van Otterloo Marblehead YMCA, 40 Leggs Hill Rd, Marblehead, MA 01945.
