It is with profound sadness and a deep sense of loss that we announce the passing of Reynold J. DiFilippo, 70, a lifelong resident of Revere, on November 12, 2025. A man of integrity, dedication, and unwavering love; everyone knew him as Rennie. He possessed a rare blend of love for life, kindness, and a relentless work ethic. He was a Master Electrician for Amtrak for 20 years, where he honed his skills and laid the foundation for a successful future.
In addition, Rennie owned and operated his own business, Master Care Maintenance Property Services, for over 20 years. His relentless drive and dedication to his craft earned him respect and admiration from all who had the privilege to know and work with him.
Rennie’s achievements were not confined to his professional life. He was a man who cherished the simple pleasures of life. If you asked him, Rennie’s most cherished moments were those spent visiting with his grandchildren in New Hampshire. His eyes would twinkle with joy as he shared stories of his adventures with them.
He was the beloved son of Robert J. and Anna DiFilippo (Varricchio). He also leaves his sons Rennie DiFilippo and wife Jen, and Adam DiFilippo and wife Brandie; eight cherished grandchildren Aydin, Gabriella, Cameron, Averi, Hailey, Peyton, Sebastian, and Kaiden. Sister Dianne Pesaturo and husband Bob; his brother Robby DiFilippo and wife Annette; nieces Jayne and partner Frank, Taryn Knauf and husband Andrew, and nephews Bobby, Kyle and partner Maggie. He is also survived by his long-term partner of 27 years, Paula MacDonald, along with her extended family. And his faithful cat, Max, who was a source of comfort and companionship.
Rennie’s life was a testament to the power of love, hard work, and family. He lived with purpose, loved with all his heart, and left an indelible mark on the lives of those he touched. As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate his life and the beautiful memories he left behind. He will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life for Rennie will be held at Still Waters Church, 197 Lynnway, Point of Pines, Revere on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 12:00pm.
His life was a beautiful journey, and your stories are the testament to his legacy. Let's remember Rennie DiFilippo not just for the life he lived, but for the lives he touched, the hearts he warmed, and the smiles he shared. We warmly invite you to share your memories of Rennie and upload photos to the memorial page.
