Phyllis E. Caccavaro

Phyllis E. “Betty” (Ryan) Caccavaro, of Revere, passed away on April 21, 2022. The longtime companion of the late James S. “Jim” Kelley, she was 84 years old. Cherished mother of Joseph Caccavaro of Revere, Linda Marucci of Belmont, Laura Kozar and her husband John of Belmont and the late Ricky Caccavaro. Adored grandmother of Alycia Glynn and her husband Patrick, Michael Marucci and Jesse Kozar and great-grandmother of Patrick Thomas Glynn, all of Belmont. Dear sister of William Ryan of Revere. Betty is also lovingly survived by Brian Nevins, who she considered like a son, many nieces, nephews and countless friends. A self-made business woman, Betty worked tirelessly to provide a better life for herself and her family. She was a music lover and very knowledgeable about all aspects of the performance. As a result, she befriended many talented musicians. Betty met her sweetheart, Jim, when they both worked at Suffolk Downs. They shared a love for the horses and all animals. The pair would spend their years together opening their arms, hearts and home to anyone who needed help. Alongside Jim, Betty was generous, kind and endlessly giving. She will be missed by everyone she encountered, especially her family.
