Peter DiForte, known affectionately as Pete, was a resilient and generous man born on October 10, 1935, in Somerville, Massachusetts. He grew up in East Boston and Revere before settling in Lynn in 1999. Peter was known for his big heart, thoughtful nature, and unwavering dedication to his family. He found joy in the simple things—his family, his two Yorkies, PJ and Jake, and a life lived with purpose.
For almost 40 years, Peter worked as a machinist at Gillette, a career marked by reliability, hard work, and pride. That same steadfastness carried through in his personal life, where he was a source of strength and kindness to many. Peter’s generosity reached beyond his family and touched many, always ready with a helping hand.
He enjoyed fishing, HAM radio, and trips to the dog track and Foxwoods. A lover of music and classic movies, Peter found joy in sharing these passions with others.
Peter leaves behind his beloved children, Carmella DiForte-Moulaison, Peter DiForte, Jr., Anthony DiForte and was a father figure to Frank DiBenedetto. His grandchildren, Anthony, Clark III, Ashley and Mia. His sister Romilda Frizzi and brother Salvatore DiForte, Jr along with his loving nieces and nephew. He now joins his parents, Salvatore and Carmella DiForte, His wife Kathy (Brown) DiForte and his sister Marie Micarelli in eternal rest. His legacy of resilience, warmth, and love lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
