Joseph Dominic Papagni passed away peacefully at the age of 41, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on May 8, 1985, in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Joe was the beloved son of Joseph and Susan (Garrity) Papagni.

Joe is survived by his loving parents; his brother, John Papagni and his wife, Krista, of Lynnfield; his sister, Kristine Masella Papagni and her husband Jared, of Peabody; and his brother, David Papagni and his wife, Haley, of North Andover, Massachusetts. He was a devoted and proud uncle to Julian Papagni, Jack Papagni, Madelyn Papagni, Ellie Papagni, and Dominic Papagni. Joe is also survived by his cherished companion, Kelsey Sorrento as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins who adored him and will miss him dearly.

A 2004 graduate of Lynnfield High School, Joe went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University in 2009. Throughout his life, he was known for his intelligence, quick wit, kindness, and unwavering love for his family and friends. As a childhood cancer survivor, Joe faced adversity with remarkable strength and determination, never allowing his illness to stand in the way of his goals or his zest for life. He touched countless lives from Massachusetts to Boca Raton, Florida, and will be remembered for his generous spirit, warm heart, and the happiness he brought to those around him.

Joe’s greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his beloved nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly and took immense pride in. He cherished every moment shared with them, and they brought him endless happiness. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Monday, June 8th from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 128 Revere St., Revere. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 9th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Adelaide's Church, 712 Lowell St., Peabody. (Please meet directly at the church) Interment will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Lynnfield.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joseph’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. As a childhood cancer survivor, Joe understood firsthand the importance of hope, research, and compassionate care for children and families facing serious illness. Joe will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
