John Francis O’Connor Jr. of Revere passed away on April 10, 2026, at the age of 85. Born in Boston on October 10, 1940, to the late John Francis O’Connor Sr and Nora Gallagher. A stalwart pillar of strength, John harnessed his intellect and passion, coupled with an unfaltering commitment to his endeavors, to create a life of value and fulfillment.
John was a profoundly smart individual whose love for numbers led him to a successful career in finance. For many years, he served his clients diligently as an accountant, demonstrating an unmatched precision and dedication that earned him tremendous respect in his field. However, John's life was not merely defined by his career. He found great joy in the simple things in life, like taking long walks and exploring the world through his computer. A fervent sports enthusiast, his love for baseball and football was unwavering. The Redsox and Patriots meant the world to him, and the enjoyment he got from watching them play was immeasurable.
Beyond his career and hobbies, John’s heart had two special places reserved for his beloved wife, Pearl, and his fondness for travel. Together, they created countless memories, exploring the vibrant streets of Miami and the emerald landscapes of Ireland.
A Graveside Service will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, 230 Playstead Rd, Medford on Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11:00am (everyone to meet at the cemetery main gates). Relatives and friends are kindly invited. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
As we remember John, we invite you to commemorate his life by sharing your memories and photos of him on the memorial page at www.buonfiglio.com. Each story and picture will paint a vivid portrait of John's life, a testament to a life lived fully and loved deeply.
