John Richard D'Aprile

John D'Aprile, born on February 8, 1947, was a man of intellect and character. He was a proud graduate of Boston College, where he earned a degree in Physics, and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Navy, stationed in Sigonella, Sicily as well as Crete, Greece.

 He was known for his financial acumen, John was not just smart, but also wise in the ways of the world. John was a bookworm and worked at Boston Public Library while studying at Boston College. Following his service in the US Navy, he was employed in the Federal Government as a Computer Specialist at the Volpe National Transportation Systems Center in the acoustics facility in Cambridge, MA.

John, who passed away on September 28, 2026, was a man of many interests and passions. Among these, he took great pleasure in listening to HAM radio, a hobby that provided him countless hours of joy and connection with the wider world. John is survived by his siblings Robert D' Aprile, James D'Aprile, Elaine D'Aprile, and Mary Hodgkins (née D'Aprile) and her husband Richard. He was also a beloved uncle to three nieces and one nephew. John was preceded in death by his parents, Godfrey and Ellen (LoConte) D'Aprile.
