CANGEMI~ Joanne of Danvers, formerly of the North End of Boston, Medford and Revere, Chelsea passed away on January 24, 2026. Beloved Daughter of the late Frank and Mary Sestito. Loving wife of the late Giacomo Cangemi. Devoted Mother of Christopher Michael Serino of Chelsea and Revere, and the late Christine Marie Serino of Burbank, CA and Chelsea, and the late Dominic Scott Serino of Louisiana. Cherished grandmother of Dario, Christopher and Connor Serino. Soon to be Great Grandmother of baby boy Rocco Serino.

Joanne’s greatest joy was when she was surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed going to casinos, scratch-off tickets and slot machines. Just mentioning a trip to the Casino brought a smile to her face and brightened everyone's day. Joanne was known for bringing joy to people and exploring the world, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and extraordinary memories. She also appreciated fine dining, good wine, cooking and family gatherings, especially her Sunday dinners. Her closet was filled with luxurious clothes, shoes and pocketbooks. She always Dressed to the Nines. If you were at TJ Maxx or Marshalls, you would see Joanne. She was known for her love of shopping and fashion.

Although she experienced difficult times throughout life, she lived life to the fullest and never gave up.

A Visitation will be held at Saint Anthony’s Church, 250 Revere Street, Revere on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 10:00 AM, with a Funeral Mass to follow starting at 11:00AM. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. For guest book please visit www.buonfiglio.com
