Loving grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother of 19, Cherished sister of the late Rose Melanson and Joseph Maurice. Dear aunt of Fran Wade, Rose Anne Kwaks and Jimmy Melanson. Funeral Services in the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Thursday January 5th at 7:00pm. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be from 4-7 pm. Joan was a well known Interior Designer in the area. Joan’s business was Boutique Décor located in Saugus for many years. Joan loved entertaining her family at her home on Trifone Rd for pool parties and cook outs. As the family got larger and she got older she continued to get the family together for special occasions at the best restaurants in the area. She will be remembered with love and respect for her role as the Family Matriarch. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
