Israel Lima Mejia

February 14, 1974 — February 25, 2026

Saugus

With humble acceptance of God's will and with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Israel Lima Mejía on February 25, 2026. Israel was a beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle and he will be greatly missed by his loving family and close friends.

Israel was hardworking, strong, and endlessly supportive. He carried his family with resilience and love, always putting others before himself. He showed his love not just through words, but through action — through long days, sacrifices, and always making sure his family was okay.

Israel was a music enthusiast; he always enjoyed concerts throughout his life, and as a young man he used to go skydiving because he liked so much the adrenaline rush. He loved spending time with his family at home and traveling. Israel adored his daughters, whom he always referred to as his world and of whom he was always proud. For him, creating memories with them was filled him with immense joy. He loved sitting down to enjoy a good traditional dish from his homeland, his beautiful and beloved Mexico. He enjoyed the company of his beloved nephew Mateo, whom he always described as a kind, intelligent, and affectionate boy. Israel was known for his sense of humor and his kind, generous, and compassionate heart, which touched the hearts of many.

Israel was preceded in death by his father, Rafael Lima Sanchez.

He is survived by his wife, Licinia; his two beloved daughters, Jessica and Sofía; his mother, Martha Mejía; his brothers, Oswaldo, David, and Daniel; his nephews and nieces, Mateo, Haydee and her two children, Evan and Amara; Daniela and Darien. He also held a special place in his heart for Keren Peralta and Jessica Lavi Lima, who were cherished members of his extended family.

A funeral service will be held in his honor at Bounfiglio Funeral Home. On Saturday March 07 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm Family and friends are cordially invited to attend.

Israel will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family and closed friends.
