Elio R DelGreco at the age of 92 born on August 10, 1933. A resident of Braintree formerly of Revere and South Boston entered into rest August 1, 2026 with his cherished wife Denise and family at his side. He was the proud father of John and Cheryl DelGreco. Grandfather of Disney DelGreco and Clarisse Jacques. Great Grandfather of Colt and Valentina and the soon to be arriving Baby Carmella. Elio is survived by Rosemarie Pisano and the late Joseph Pisano, Joseph and Victoria DelGreco, Elia and Cosmo Dell’Anno, Eleanora Diruzza and the late Angelo Diruzza, Peter and Camille DelGreco and Stefan DelGreco and Julie Petermann and the late Pasquale and Phyllis DelGreco and the late Salvatore and Lucille DelGreco and the late Gwendolyn and Leonard Butler and the late Josephine and Edward Harrington. Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. Elio was a distinguished veteran of the Korean War, as a Strategic Air Command in the USAF. On being discharged he worked as a Teamster for Local 25 upon retiring from local 25 he became employed for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts/State Board of Retirement.

He was also a Commander of Post 17 of the Italian American War Veterans. He was an active member of the Order of the Sons of Italy, Soccorso Club. He also served as the Harbor Master for the city of Revere for a period of time, also a volunteer for many charitable events of which Row Row to Revere, a canoe race to benefit Spina Bifida was his favorite. Elio was loved by many for his compassion and his willingness to help family, friends and neighbors. He thoroughly enjoyed working in his basement in South Boston on his carpentry projects.

A celebration of Elio’s life will be held on what would have been his 93rd birthday August 10th at Paul Buonfiglio Funeral Home 128 Revere Street Revere, MA from 10 a.m to 1:p.m.
