DeStefano Sr., Edward “Eddie” – of Revere, passed away surrounded by his loving family on December 18, 2020. Born in Chelsea in 1929 to Michael Angelo DeStefano Sr and Lucia (Ciarlone), he was 91 years old. He was the beloved husband to Joan (DiModica) with whom he shared 70 years of marriage. Eddie served his apprenticeship as a Dot Etcher in the Poster Artist Department at Forbes Lithograph in Chelsea, MA, later honing his skills to become a Master Craftsman at Court Square Press in South Boston. In the final phase of his career, he brought his craft to Daniels Printing Company in Everett, MA, where he specialized in creating high quality color separations for print – an innovation for the time. He retired in 1994. Eddie was the devoted father of Jane Murphy and her husband Robert of Melrose, Denise Cole and her husband Mitchell of Peabody, Edward DeStefano Jr. of Peabody, and Michael DeStefano and his wife Rosemarie of Revere. Cherished grandfather of Sarah Murphy and her husband Adrian Haimovich, Robert Murphy, Julia DeStefano, Christopher Cole, and Sophia DeStefano. Adored great grandfather of Luca Haimovich. Dear brother of the late Ann Little, Irene Ely, Michael “Sonny” DeStefano Jr., and Rose Thompson. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Due to the current spike in COVID-19 and the guidelines issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and local officials, funeral services will be privately held for the family under the direction of Paul Buonfiglio & Sons – Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA 02151.
