Dorothea Sgroi

Dorothy Rosa Sgroi of Revere formerly of East Boston passed away peacefully at the age of 94. Dorothy was the daughter of Samuel and Francis Sgroi, and the loving and devoted sister to the late John, Robert, Melvin and Richard Sgroi. She worked for the City of Boston for 39 years during which time she rose through the ranks to be the manager of the Assessing Department. Dorothy was the loving aunt and matriarch to 12 nieces and nephews, 17 great-nieces and -nephews and 16 great-great nieces and nephews. Though her passing leaves a profound void that we will feel forever, the foundation she built for our family is unbreakable. She passed down a legacy of compassion, kindness, and love. Visiting hours are being observed Monday July 6 from 9-10:30 AM at the Buonfiglio Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere.
