David Schraffa, affectionately known as "Davie," passed away on July 27, 2026, at the age of 80. Born on July 18, 1946, in Boston, Massachusetts, to Thomas and Florence Schraffa, David was known for his charisma, humor, and big heart, and he left a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
A proud Bostonian, David was born and raised in East Boston before making Revere his home in 2010. Wherever he went, his kind and supportive nature had a way of touching the lives of those around him.
David was a pressman by trade, and he took real pride in his craft — a skilled, hardworking man who was committed to doing the job right. In his free time, David loved playing cards with friends.
Above all, David's greatest joy was his family, and especially his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. His love for them was profound, and his legacy will live on through the lessons and values he passed on to them.
Married to the love of his life, Mary Ann (Landolfi) Schraffa, for nearly 61 years this October, David was a funny, devoted husband who cherished every moment they shared. A pillar of strength for his family, he is lovingly survived by Mary Ann; his daughter, Tracey Schraffa; his cherished grandchildren, Jill and Nick Schraffa; and his sister, Ann Shelleby. He also leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. David was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Florence Schraffa, and by his siblings, Anthony Schraffa, Mary Feller, and Louise Caudill.
David's laughter, warmth, and unwavering support will be deeply missed, but the memories he made and the love he gave will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Visitation will take place on Sunday, August 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026, at 9:45 AM at the funeral home, followed by a Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Parish in East Boston at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held privately. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in David's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which is dedicated to finding cures and saving children with cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Donations may be made at https://www.stjude.org/donate
