Charles Bryan

Charles Joseph Bryan, 64, of Everett, MA, formerly of Malden, MA passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by the love of his family, long-time companion Kim, stepchildren, and friend Jerry.

He was born May 11, 1962 in Medford, MA. He was Number 8 of 9 Children to his father the late Sgt. Robert Walter Bryan Sr., and mother, the late Gertrude “Patty” (Daddio) Bryan of Medford.

He was predeceased by his brothers Robert “Bobby” Walter Bryan Jr., Paul Bryan, and Daniel “Danny” Bryan of Medford and Malden.

He is survived by his beloved companion Kimberly “Kim” Pereira and cherished Stepfather to Ashley and Michael Pereira all of Derry, NH. His sister Patrica “Patty” (Bryan) Arria, his brother David Bryan both of Derry, NH, his brother Eddie Bryan and his wife Margie McGurk, his Brother Richard and his wife Vivien (Lee) all of Roxboro, NC, his sister Deborah “ Debbie” (Bryan) MacGregor of Everett, MA; and his many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends.

Born in Medford he was raised in Malden and attended Malden High School Class of 1980 where he made many lifelong friends enjoying basketball, swimming, Billiards, bowling, movies, TV, music events, bike riding, his cars, cookouts, holidays and birthdays.

He worked as an apprentice for many years and was very knowledgeable and dedicated to his trade. His employer stated he was an outstanding member of their workforce and was proud of his ability to stand and work next to him every day. Nothing made Charlie happier than brightening his friends' darkest days with his infectious laugh, sense of humor and unforgettable memories, his smile and presence brightened any room. He liked reminiscing with his friends about the trips he went on with them and working the pipeline in Oklahoma. One of his saddest memories was swimming up at HP (Hidden Pond) in Stoneham with friends and seeing a couple Ruth (Rogers) Hoffman and her husband Tommy struggling for help; he went into the water to help. He was able to save Ruth, but could not save Tommy. He was saddened by this memory throughout his life.

The family would like to express gratitude to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Cambridge Health Alliance’s Many doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and aides for their expertise, compassion, and expression of sympathy.

A funeral Service for Charlie will be held at Paul Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, MA, on Friday, July 31, 2026 from 10:00-12:00PM With a Prayer service at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery 230 Playstead Road, Medford, MA
