Cuozzo - Barbara, 88, formerly of both East Boston and Lynnfield passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born, September 4, 1938, in East Boston to Emilio and Florence Laurano. Loving sister to the late Jack Laurano and Lillian Laurano. Treasured wife of the late Marino Cuozzo, the love of her life, their love story will never end. Cherished mother of Debra Roberts and her husband Brian of Lynnfield, Valerie Williams of Scituate, Deirdra Gibbons and her husband Ed of Little Silver, NJ, Marino Cuozzo, Jr and his love Cara LaConti of Gloucester, and Kym Buckovich and her husband Paul of Beverly Farms. Barbara's best friends and daughters in love were Rozanne Saggese of Lynnfield, Janis Pustizzi of Saugus and the late Diane Cuozzo. Their children and grandchildren brought much joy to her world. She is the cherished grandmother of Michael Roberts of Upper Arlington Ohio and his wife Alexandra and their 2 daughters Micki and Chloe, Barbara's sweet, great granddaughters. Nicholas Roberts of Belfast Maine, Cole Buckovich and his fiancée Chris Savino of Rhode Island, Luke Buckovich of Somerville, Rose Cuozzo of Dorchester, Jack Williams of Pembroke Pines, Florida and Anthony Cuozzo of Wilmington. Being their Grammy, Shammy and Gigi was the sweetest chapter of her life.
Barbara's dedication extended beyond her family as she was an active member of the Home for Little Wanderers in years past and she treasured her time as a teacher's assistant at Bethlehem Nursery School in Lynnfield. Barbara's heart was fullest when she was surrounded by children.
She loved Sunday dinners with family and every holiday and birthday celebration as they brought her close to what mattered most to her. Christmas morning was her very favorite morning of the year. She had a wonderful sense of humor, put a baby on her lap and watch her come to life, and oh how she loved to dance with her Marino. She was the first one to make soup for you if you were sick and the first one by your side if you needed her. She was often stopped by people to say how lovely she was, but truly she was more beautiful inside. She was a woman of faith and substance who loved deeply, cared genuinely, and lived compassionately. Young at heart she will always be. She was the gentle and strong satin ribbon that held us all together.
