Anthony "Tony" Pierni

On Monday, June 10, 2024, Anthony J. Pierni, loving husband and friend, passed away at the age of 92. Tony was born on October 24, 1931 in Revere, MA to John and Nancy Pierni. He served in the United States Navy and was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and worked at the MIT Nuclear Research Reactor until his retirement. In 1996 he relocated to Sun City West, AZ with his wife Catherine. Tony loved travel, crafts, jigsaw puzzles and the occasional trip to the casinos. He was known for his quick wit, smile and his cheerful, kind and compassionate sprit. Tony was preceded in death by his father John, his mother Nancy and his sister Rose Smith. He is survived by his sister Helen. Tony will be joining his wife at the Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett, Massachusetts.
