Ann Marie Furlong – Revere, formerly of Winthrop – passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side on July 30, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born Ann Marie Burditt on January 21, 1942, she was the beloved daughter of the late Robert and Mary Burditt. A longtime resident of Winthrop before moving to Revere, Ann will be remembered for her generous heart, and deep devotion to her family and those around her.
Ann had a long career in the airline industry and enjoyed spending her free time traveling the world. She explored places such as China, Germany, Mexico, and Hawaii, always returning with new stories to share. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Veterans Shelter in Boston for over 20 years and, later in life, enjoyed working among the bookshelves at Barnes & Noble in Saugus.
Ann found joy in the simple things—reading, gardening, playing bingo, and helping others. Above all, she was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Ann Furlong and Catherine Coscia and her husband Gene; her cherished granddaughter Emily Childs and her father Kevin; and her dear siblings Robert Burditt and Jane Fazio. She also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visiting hours will be held at the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere, on Wednesday, August 13th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Revere Street, Revere. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
