Albert “Albie” John Lavargna, Sr., 86, a resident of Revere, formerly of the Linden section of Malden, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by his family on January 28, 2017. Albie was born in Malden on September 18, 1930 to the late Giuseppe Lavargna and Acheta (Nuzzolillo) Lavargna. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Margaret (MacEachern) Lavargna. Albie was a family man who loved his home and enjoyed spending quality time with his family. His door was always open and his home was a place for all to gather where he would proudly celebrate the many milestones of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Albie was well loved by his family and friends and greeted everyone he knew with a smile. Sunday dinners with the whole gang were routine, usually followed by an enthusiastic rooting for the New England Patriots. Albie was a nature lover who enjoyed his yard and tending to his swimming pool making it a fun time for all. Gardening was one of his favorite pastimes and he always rose to the challenge of producing some of the most amazing tomatoes year after year. DEVOTED FATHER of the late Joseph of Malden and survived by his son Albert, Jr. and his late wife Virginia of Revere, his son Michael of Revere, his daughter Charlene Santo and her husband Stephen of Brockton, his daughter Cheryl Pendenza and her husband Anthony of Medford and his daughter Karen and husband Tim Johnson of Reading. LOVING PAPA to 10 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
