Alan Gregory Johanson

Alan Gregory Johanson of Peabody Massachusetts formally of Revere beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025 at the Kaplan Hospice House surrounded by his family.
Born in Lynn Massachusetts he was the loving son of the late Harold and Corrine Johanson.

He shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with his devoted wife, Phyllis Johanson. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. Phyllis was his best friend and steadfast partner in all of life’s adventures — his true companion and partner in crime. She will miss him deeply every day.

He was a skilled TIG welder throughout his career and retired after many years of hard work and dedication. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling , gardening , bowling, and cheering on his favorite team, the Boston Red Sox.

He is also survived by his loving children, Laurie West and her fiancé, Anthony Lucreziano of Middleton Massachusetts , David Johanson and his wife, Julie Sullivan of Halifax Massachusetts. He was a proud and adoring grandfather to Ashley West, Marissa West, and Noah Johanson, who all brought immense joy and pride to his life.

Preceded in death by his sisters Ruth Sinclair , Virginia Bliss and his brother Harold Johanson.
He will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
