Peter Anthony Cerbone

Cerbone, Peter Anthony lifelong resident of Revere on April 1, 2017. Beloved husband of 60 years to Meryl (Bernstein). Devoted father of Richard Cerbone and wife Helen of New Jersey, Peter V. Cerbone and wife Rhonda of Bradford, Rosanne Willdigg and husband Joseph of Kingston, Andrea Meola and husband John of Amesbury, and James Cerbone and wife Alexandra of Revere. Dear brother of Annette Scopellito of NY, and the late Anthony Cerbone of Revere. Loving nephew of Josephine Cicatelli. Grandfather of Michael Cerbone, Anthony Halpern, Stephanie Cerbone, Alex Cerbone, Peter Cerbone, Andrew Cerbone, Rachel Cerbone, Louis Meola, Max Meola, Lily Meola, Marco Cerbone and Lucia Cerbone. Great Grandfather of Callum Cerbone Cramer and Desmond Cerbone Cramer. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. An army serviceman stationed in Germany during the Korean War and a Federal Government employee for the General Services Administration managing the motorpool in Boston for over 31 years. An exceptional artist, sculptor, craftsmen. His expertise in wood working, cabinet making, masonry, plumbing, electrical and mechanics were both vocations and avocations. He used these skills to build family homes in both Revere and Andover, NH. He loved golf, skiing, fishing, scuba diving, basketball, baseball and football. A former member of the Pines River Yacht Club, and trophy winning Blue Fin Tuna fisherman in Gloucester’s Cape Anne Tournament. An avid reader who amassed a large library of reference, history and how-to books. He loved telling stories of his childhood growing up in Revere, and was keenly interested in geneaology; spending hours developing family trees, and recording family histories. He treasured traveling with family and friends, especially to spring training in Fort Meyers and trips to Italy. A truly remarkable man, with many friends, and loved by everyone who knew him. He cherished spending time with his family and close friends at both of his homes. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Tuesday April 4, 2017 at 9:00am. Funeral Mass in St Anthony’s church at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Peter’s name to the Edith Nourse Rogers Memorial Veterans Hospital, Attn: Development Department, 200 Springs Rd, Bedford, MA 01730.
