DiPietro, Dr. Joseph “Joe”, of Lynnfield, residing in Naples FL, formerly of Revere passed away at home surrounded by his family on September 2, 2016. Beloved husband of Regina (Bindon). Devoted father of Dr. Bill DiPietro and wife Betty of Boxford, Robert “Tino” DiPietro of Lynnfield, Dr. Chris DiPietro and wife Tiffany of Lexington, Paul DiPietro and wife Becky of Beverly, Gina DiPietro and companion David Theriault of Middleton, and the late Joseph P. DiPietro. Dear brother to the late John and Ignazio DiPietro and brother in law to Gloria DiPietro of Agawam and the late Katie DiPietro. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Joseph Jr., Martin, Nicholas, Alexandra, Ryan, Lauren, Sean, Eric, and David. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. After Revere High Joe attended Boston College and Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Shortly after, Dr. Joe opened his Dental Practice in Revere where he practiced from 1954 to 1993. He started two generations of Dental Care serving the Revere community for over 60 years. Dr. Joe was proud of his profession and was compassionate to all his patients. Dr. Joe would frequently travel to nursing homes to care for elderly patients. He would work long hours and travel during snow bans to make sure his patients got the care they needed. Before serving in the United States Navy Joe taught Sunday School while in High School. Joe played baseball and football in high school and was proud to be selected by his teammates to be Captain of the Thanksgiving Day football game his senior year. Dr. Joe was a big Red Sox fan and was thrilled to experience three world championships. He was a long time member at Salem Country Club where he enjoyed golfing with his wife and friends. This is where he started the “Friday Morning Golf Group,” with some of the elder members of the club. He and Regina split their time between MA and their home in Naples, FL for the last 30 years. Dr. Joe was a past President of the Revere Rotary Club and was an active member of the St. Anthony’s Holy Name Society in Revere. He will be truly missed by all his patients, friends, and family. Funeral from the Paul Buonfiglio & Sons-Bruno Funeral Home 128 Revere St, Revere on Tuesday September 6th at 8:45am. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption, Lynnfield at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be Monday 4-8pm. Interment Puritan Lawn Memorial Park.
